Tale of the Dark Money and Chairman Mike Kelly

Growing up on a farm taught me great lessons that helped shape who I am today! The lessons of hard work, personal responsibility (yes that gate was my job to make sure it was shut) and embracing the everyday cycle of life, repeated each year as the seasons passed, has served me well.
I was the youngest of 4, so I had no younger siblings to nurture, but I certainly had stray cats to attempt to lure to the comfort of a milk pan set out after each milking and dogs who accompanied me on my long meandering horseback rides on the hills and in the timber that surrounded our farm in Irish Valley.
My 5 children and my 7 grandchildren now grace my life along with my dog, Bear, and my beloved horse, Gabby. Gabby has been part and parcel of our family for 16 years; she is now 19 and full of vim and vigor. And yes, I continue my childhood habit of meandering on my horse with my dog now on the hills and in the timber close to my home, here in Johnson County and on the Missouri side of state line.
This anchor of nature, hard work and God’s blessing of ever-expanding family gives me the fortitude to stay the course of conservative values while serving you, the good folks of Johnson County as County Commissioner for District 3.
Thank you for the honor you have given me to serve and I look forward to visiting with you during my re-election campaign.
