WHY Re-Elect Commissioner O’Hara?

Commissioner Charlotte O’Hara is a dedicated conservative on the Board of County Commissioners for Johnson County(BOCC).  She has for the past 4 years represented the hard-working folks who just want to keep more of THEIR money instead of paying ever higher property taxes.  Commissioner O’Hara’s philosophy of small, efficient government is counterpoint to the liberal tax and spend majority currently on the BOCC.

Commissioner O’Hara stands strong, tirelessly advocating for YOU, not the entrenched status quo who are given tax incentives, such as the sweet corporate welfare deal for Cnano in New Century Air Center.

Cnano’s property tax bill is only 30 cents a square foot on their building at the New Century Air Center.  For a 2,000 square foot house that would equal $600.00 a year for total property taxes.  Is that fair? Is that equitable?

Charlotte’s Achievements on the Commission Board:

• Advocated for fiscal responsibility: voting no on bloated inefficient budgets which has exploded to an unfathomable amount of $1.818BILL
• Advocated for public safety as job one: As the majority continued to underfund especially the Sheriff’s office, Charlotte’s support for the Blue never wavered.
• Promoted transparent governance: Championed measures to increase transparency and accountability within the Commission, ensuring that decisions reflect the community’s best interests.
• Protected local businesses:  Charlotte always stands with small businesses; she knows they are the backbone of the Johnson County economy.
• Stood for environmental cleanup:  Charlotte is a common-sense conservationist, not an environmentalist, and fought hard to restore the Kuhlman Plant site to a level which is now suitable for a community park.
